When will I receive my order?

We use a variety of courier services including royal mail and UPS. After placing your order you should receive tracking information when your parcel is dispatched to let you know when your goods will be delivered. When is payment taken for pre-orders?

Payment for items with pre-order status is taken when you place your online order. The expected delivery date is stated on the product page. Please email us at help@lampshoponline.com

How do I check the status of my order or track a shipment?

How to find the correct fluorescent tube replacement?

Fluorescent tubes generally come in a standard length depending on the wattage. For example, if you have a 58w tube, you would need to replace it like for like with another 58w version because otherwise, the size will change.

A common reference you may see would be F18w/T8/840/220-40. In this case, 'F18w' is the wattage, 'T8' refers to the diameter of the tube & '840' just refers to the colour light the tube gives off.

How do I change my fluorescent tubes over to LED?

Changing Over T8/T12 Fluorescent Tubes?

My fitting has a starter - If you are changing over a fitting that has a starter you can use an Energizer LED Tubes and simply switch over your current starter to the free LED starter included & then put your new energy-efficient LED tube in. Done!

My fitting doesn't have a starter - To change over to LED tubes in a fitting without a starter you would need to rewire your fitting to 240v. Disconnect the ballast/choke and wire live and neutral to just one end of the fitting. The Bright Source LED tubes would be the best option for this.

Changing Over T5 Fluorescent Tubes?

LED T5 Tubes are fairly new to the world of lighting. To change over your fluorescent tubes you would need to rewire your fitting disconnecting the ballast and wire live and neutral to one end of the fitting direct to mains 240v. See all our LED T5 Tubes Here.

Bulb Cap Types Explained

ES/E27 - Usually known as "Edison Screw" this cap type is 27mm diameter across and should simply screw in and out of the fitting.

SES/E14 - This fitting is known as "Small Edison Screw" and is only 14mm diameter across.

GES/E40 - The "Giant Edison Screw" is mainly found in more industrial lighting for warehouses and is 40mm in diameter across.

BC/B22 - This cap type is known as "Bayonet Cap" and is 22mm in diameter across.

SBC/B15 - This "Small Bayonet Cap" is not very common but is sometimes found around the home and is 15mm in diameter.
