Osram QT-FIT8 3x18,4x18 Electronic Ballast for 3 or 4 T8 18W Fluorescent Lamps

The Osram QT-FIT8 3x18,4x18 is a high-efficiency electronic control gear (ECG) designed for use with three or four T8 26mm fluorescent lamps rated at 18W each. Ideal for open-plan offices, corridors, strip lighting, and public buildings, this ECG features cut-off technology, optimised filament preheating, and automatic restart after lamp replacement. It is fully compatible with motion sensor applications, ensuring flicker-free startup within 2 seconds, and is also suitable for emergency lighting systems (DC operation). Designed for Class I luminaires, the QT-FIT8 guarantees long lamp life and is certified to VDE, ENEC, and CE standards.

With a nominal wattage of 73W, the unit supports 198–264V AC and 185–264V DC input, operating at 40–50kHz with an efficiency class A2. The robust metal housing (280 x 40 x 28 mm) protects internal components, while the ballast supports ambient temperatures from –15°C to +50°C, and tolerates up to 110°C in fault conditions. It has a rated lifespan of 50,000 hours at maximum Tc and is non-dimmable, with integrated end-of-life (EOL T.2) safety shutdown. It supports cable lengths up to 1.5m, weighs 219g, and can be installed in circuits with up to 13 ballasts on a 16A Type B MCB.
