Osram 250w MBFU / HQL Lamp GES

Introducing the OSRAM 250 W MBFU / HQL Mercury Discharge Lamp with a GES/E40 screw base, designed for robust industrial and outdoor lighting applications. This high‑pressure mercury lamp (often referenced as “MBFU” or “HQL”) provides an output of approx. 13 000 lm at 250 W, with a colour temperature around 4 000 K‑4 200 K giving a neutral white light. The GES/E40 base ensures compatibility with many high bay, street and external luminaires originally specified for mercury discharge technology. 

This lamp is ideally suited for lighting in car parks, roads, industrial warehouses, exterior areas and communal spaces, where its high lumen output and screw‑in base simplify maintenance. While the MBFU/HQL range is now considered legacy technology (with many being phased out or replaced by LED alternatives), this OSRAM variant remains a viable option for direct replacements in compatible fixtures.
