Tridonic I-SELECT 2 PLUG PRE / EXC Resistors – Output Current Control

The Tridonic I-SELECT 2 PLUG PRE / EXC is a range of ready-to-use resistors designed for precise output current selection in compatible Tridonic PRE and EXC series LED drivers. These plug-in resistors work exclusively with the I-SELECT 2 interface (not compatible with generation 1) and enable accurate configuration without programming tools. Each unit features base insulation, a resistor power of 0.25 W, and a current tolerance of ±2%, in addition to the driver’s own tolerance. A simple formula — R [kΩ] = 5 V / I_out [mA] × 1000 — allows users to determine the resistor needed for the desired current, using E96 standard values.

The range supports current settings from 125mA up to 2100mA, covering applications from low-power accent lighting to high-output commercial systems. Each plug is colour-coded in blue, with the current clearly marked for easy identification. Resistor values span from 40.2 kΩ (125mA) to 2.37 kΩ (2100mA). These compact components weigh just 0.001 kg each and are supplied in bags of 10 units. For maximum flexibility, a MAX setting (0.00 kΩ) and deactivation plug are also available.
