Helvar EL2x70 T8 High Frequency Ballast

The Helvar EL2x70 T8 High Frequency Ballast is designed to power two 70 W T8 fluorescent lamps from a single electronic gear unit, operating off a standard 220‑240 V, 50/60 Hz mains supply.  It features a warm start ignition method, ensuring reliable lamp starting without the buzz or flicker often associated with older magnetic gear. The unit’s compact dimensions (length approx. 360 mm, width 30 mm, height 21 mm) fit well in typical T8 luminaire housings and enable easier retrofits into existing installations.

This high‑frequency ballast belongs to Helvar’s “EL‑es” standard electronic range aimed at high‑volume T8 applications, offering long lamp‑life support (rated to 50,000 h) and an Energy Efficiency Index of A2, helping reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs. It is non‑dimmable, optimised for constant high‑frequency operation with multicombination capability and supports reliable performance in commercial, industrial or retrofit lighting schemes where twin lamps are used.
