GE Tetra GEBI71-2 EdgeStrip - 7100K

The GE Tetra EdgeStrip GEBI71‑2 is a high‑performance, edge‑mounted LED module system engineered for narrow cabinet signs (3–6 in / 76–152 mm depth). According to the GE spec sheet, it delivers about 300 lumens per module at 7100 K daylight white and uses ≈ 2.52 W per module in the standard (non‑HO) version. The product uses OptiLens™ optics to redirect light that would otherwise be wasted, which helps achieve even illumination across the sign face and reduce striping effects common with fluorescent solutions. Modules are connected via continuous wiring with IDC (insulation displacement) connectors to simplify installation and improve strain relief. EdgeStrip is designed to be IP66 rated when used with the light guide, making it suitable for outdoor signage installations. The system is engineered for operation between –40 °C and +60 °C, giving it robust performance in a variety of climates. GE offers a 10‑year limited system warranty for the EdgeStrip system. 

This module system is ideal for single or double-sided illuminated signage, façade outlines, contour lettering, and backlit border lighting where space is limited. Because EdgeStrip is rigid, it is most suited for straight runs along edges; for curved or radial designs, pairing with GE’s flexible Contour product may be required. Cutting is possible between modules (on the wiring leads) without damaging the system.  In a 100 W 24 V driver configuration, the system supports 36 modules for standard EdgeStrip (non‑HO). The EdgeStrip GEBI71‑2 delivers substantial energy savings (up to ~78 %) compared to T8 fluorescent equivalents, due to its efficient LEDs and tailored optics.  With its compact dimensions (module size ~138 mm length × 50 mm width × 15 mm height) and clean, streamlined wiring, it’s well suited to modern signage applications where appearance and reliability are paramount.
