Emergency

What does "Emergency" mean?

Emergency lighting systems are designed to operate when the main power supply is interrupted, providing illumination sufficient for safe evacuation during an emergency. These systems are crucial in commercial and public buildings to meet safety regulations.

Benefits:

The key benefit of emergency lighting is enhanced safety, ensuring that occupants can evacuate the premises safely in the event of power failures or other emergencies. It helps in maintaining calm during potentially chaotic situations by providing visible escape routes.

Use Cases:

Emergency lighting is mandatory in commercial buildings, hotels, schools, and other public spaces. It is typically installed along escape routes, near exits, stairwells, and points of emphasis like fire fighting equipment.

Microwave Sensor

What is a Microwave Sensor?

A Microwave Sensor utilises microwave radar technology to detect movement through the emission and reflection of microwave signals. This type of sensor is highly sensitive and capable of detecting motion through non-metallic objects, such as glass and walls.

Benefits:

Microwave sensors offer high sensitivity and the ability to detect motion through obstacles, making them effective for security and automated lighting. They are less likely to give false alarms due to environmental factors such as wind or temperature changes.

Use Cases:

These sensors are widely used in security systems, automatic door openers, and lighting systems where motion detection is crucial, even in obscured or unusual environments. They are ideal for areas requiring high levels of intrusion detection and automation.

IP20

What is IP20?

IP20 offers protection against solid objects larger than 12.5mm, such as fingers, but provides no protection against water. This rating is common for indoor devices where exposure to moisture and finer solid particles is minimal.

Benefits:

The main advantage of IP20 is its ability to prevent accidental contact with larger solid objects, making it suitable for basic indoor environments that do not require a high level of protection against elements.

Use Cases:

IP20 is often used in residential and office settings for devices like indoor lighting fixtures, electronic equipment, and other appliances that remain primarily in dry, clean environments.

This LED Lowbay is rated at 50,000 hour average and comes in colour temperature is 5000k daylight which ensures an optimum working light, perfect for warehouses, manufacturing and any large widespread indoor areas.

Smartly designed, this low bay has adjustable LED modules to direct your light towards specific areas such as packing tables, picking isles & much more. This fitting has a massive lumen output of 12,150lms due to its high quality LED modules. Energy rating A+

This fitting is also complete with self-testing emergency back up including Liteplan emergency module, 3 cell battery & green EM LED indicator. This fitting comes complete with a microwave/daylight sensor. this means if the lighting is adequate the switch will not activate the lighting, but once light levels drop the system acknowledges this and turns on the lighting. Should the microwave sensor not detect motion over a set period of time, the system will dim the lights down from 50% to as low as 10%. This drastically saves money of electricity costs and also improves the longevity of the lamps or fitting.

This fitting is made from an external steel powder coat white fitting with polycarbonate LED module covers to complete a smart, sleek fitting design.
