4w LED gu10 bulbs

I bought these bulbs to replace the non-LED ones which had been replaced 2or 3 times,as they kept fusing and eventually also fused the switch.Having then to get in an electrician,I decided,on his recommendation,to buy the LED bulbs.They give a very good light but I haven't had them long enough to test their longevity.

Seem to give off just about the same light as the 35W bulb that I was using before. It's a slightly whiter light and the section of the bulb which actually gives off light is smaller than on the halogen but you only notice if you look directly at the light (that's why I have spots in front of my eyes). Similarly the sides are heavily ridged in grey/silver plastic which isn't hugely attractive (the light shines through the sides on the halogens) but it makes surprisingly little difference to the light the bulb casts on the room.
Of course the main reason I bought these to replace halogen bulbs is for the longevity which I won't be able to judge for some time yet... watch this space!
